Warning: There are about to be a million billion pictures of Thomas and Daniel in this post, but I just can’t help but want to upload every single picture I take of them!! They are such sweet boys, and I think everything they do it adorable!!
Maybe I’m an obsessed wife and mother?!? Maybe….
Oh, well. If the shoe fits, wear it.
So, here goes! Thomas’s first ride on the tractor….
Thomas’s sweet grim/smirk
I just couldn’t help but post this one! This is what Thomas looks like after spending all day in the house with me…a little delirious!
Proud Daddy! (of his son and anything Allis-Chalmers…)
Can you guess which tractor Daniel chose to use to take him for his first tractor ride on??
Crank it up, Daddy!!
“Is this as fast as this thing goes??”
Sporting his Allis-Chalmers outfit…Representin’!!
Thomas and his Daddy’s greasy finger nails….his Daddy had grease under his finger nails on our first date, too! I thought it was cute back then because it meant he had been working (and I like a working man), but now when we pull up to weddings and funerals and I look over and see the grease, I am not so impressed.
And then this happens. It’s an every day occurrence around here. Actually, it’s an every hour occurrence.
Spit-up.
Thomas does not discriminate against who he does it to or where he does it. He doesn’t even care if his Momma is wearing her one pair (one pair, people!!) of jeans that she can fit into right now. AND is about to walk out the door to go get her hair cut. He spits-up such volume that it can ruin your outfit. And then sits there looking all innocent. It’s really kind of cute actually….
Notice the spit-up running out of Thomas’s mouth in these pictures….
“Seriously, Amanda! Can you put the camera down for one minute and go get me the burp cloth!?”
Thomas is mad at me here because I told him I would put pictures of him spitting-up on the blog. I’m not too worried about it. He has a re-bound rate of about .2 seconds. He will need me the instant that he gets hungry, poops and pees in his diaper, get sleepy and want to be rocked, or just wants some comfort…and all of these things occur in random order about every two seconds. It’s the cycle that never ends….
And here is Thomas when he doesn’t get his way, or when it takes us longer than a split second to figure out what exactly it is that he is wanting….
We kept having to crank up the four-wheeler to make him stop crying this time. He LOVES riding the golf cart and four-wheeler with his Daddy. LOVES IT, I said! Daniel said anytime they are riding around the farm and stop to talk to someone, he will start fussing until Daniel cranks the four-wheeler back up and they get moving again. Then, he’s good to go! So please, don’t take offense if you ever see us riding Thomas around, and we just wave and keep going without speaking:)
My little red bird has also become quite the drooler!
Little button nose….

Oh, hey. This is me. 99.9% of the time.
Hair in a pony tail.
No make-up on.
Wearing my “gym” clothes.
(I’m not sure if they still count as “gym” clothes when I haven’t been to the gym in what seems like decades, and I actually canceled my membership today. (Sad, yes, I know). But there’s always that chance I will jump on the treadmill while Thomas is napping, right? We can be hopeful…..)
Sitting in my glider with the boppy and baby in my lap.
Some dried spit-up on my shirt (see my left shoulder for visual).
Some fresh spit-up on my shirt (see center of my shirt for visual).
Talking on the phone, about to talk on the phone, or just got off the phone with a number of people. Or texting them, duh!! (You know you who you are. I’ll give you your minute of fame anyway: Hey Francie, Katie, Summer, Jen, Cass, Kirb, Heather, Mama T, Momma Joan, and Daddy!!!)…what can I say? I’m just the little socialite!
Burp cloth close by for catching future spit-ups.
And a heart full of thanksgiving for time with my husband and son.
And then occasionally, I will bathe.
On a developmental note: I kept leaving Thomas lying on his back and would walk back into the room only to find him on his side like this:
I knew what was coming…..
It wouldn’t be long…..
He would be rolling over soon.
And then, about a week later, I actually witnessed him do it!!
Ta-da!!
As of May 24, 2010, Thomas can roll over from his back to his tummy. He is so proud when he does it, too! But like most babies, he gets very frustrated very quickly when he’s on his belly. So lately, I’ve been spending my days constantly flipping Thomas back onto his back, only to have him roll onto his tummy again moments later! He has so much fun doing it! It’s a busy life we live!
And y’all wonder what stay-at-home mom’s do to pass the time….
