Welcome to the family, Little Miss Kennedy! You already have so many aunts and uncles who love you dearly. We love spending our Summer days at Papa Tom’s pool, talking about what we’re going to have for dinner before lunch is even over, and having all of our bags, bows, and baby’s outfits monogrammed!
We all showed up at the hospital for your arrival! Thomas and I left our house at 5:15 in the morning to try to make it on time! We missed your grand appearance by only a few minutes! I believe we were a mile down the road in the Hardee’s parking lot nursing when you were born because Thomas decided we could no further.
Everyone was so anxious to meet you!
MayFray got a little worn out from being the center of attention and cat-napped with her Mimi in the waiting room.
Mr.Johnny and Mrs.Pam were worn out! They were troopers and had been there the whole time!
Papa Tom sending a text…there is no telling what it says or who it is to!
Aunt Katie and Thomas
Kennedy’s proud parents!! Summer did wonderful, and Kennedy was born with no complications. I told Summer all along that Kennedy would surprise them and not have black hair…I was right!:)
One of Kennedy’s cousins from the Clark side showed up, hello Baby Wyatt:)
She’s a red head!! It doesn’t always look like it when she is inside, but when you take her outside, her hair matches mine!
The proof is in the picture!
Sidenote: I'm not sure why Francie Pants is glaring at me in this picture? She was probably just missing Ryan!
Mimi’s got her hands full!
Cousins
Miss Sassy Britches
Double time!
Mary Frances’s Summer-time toes!
This is how having three new Grandbabies within six months makes Mimi feel!
My loves….
Papa Tom and Charlie takin’ it all in…
Have you ever seen such an innocent face?? Mary Frances has the most beautiful, Disney-character-like-eyes!
….Love her….
…..melts my heart!!….
After a couple short days in the hospital, sweet Kennedy came home! And of course, I was there to take pictures!!
I’m sorry, I have just to point this out…do we not have the most handsome Daddy in whole world? And on top of that, he’s sweet too! We love you, Papa Tom!
Back to business: Miss Kennedy Brooke has THE most adorable nursery you have ever seen. It’s safe to say, I’M JEALOUS!!!!!! And it was all custom made made by Mimi! My Momma is so talented! She also sewed the bedding, curtains, and pillows for MayFray’s nursery, but unfortunately, I don’t have pictures of that one. So, I’ll share what I do have of Kennedy’s:
Check out Thomas giving Mimi the bird!…
Learning to play with some of his toys….finally!!
Thomas is getting good at sitting in his bumbo! Occasionally he will start to lean to the side and gets stuck there until I put the camera down and rescue him. He is so grateful for me.
And we’ve been back in the garden some. We are still really enjoying it. This week we had to string up the tomatoes because they are getting so tall!
And of course, we had our cheerful helper!!
Do you see this hoe? It’s mine. All mine. See where it says “Catfish”?? Well, that’s me. I’m catfish. And that’s my hoe that says “Catfish” on it. “Catfish” is a nickname that D has for me. Sometimes it even gets extended to “Catfish Mama”. Anyways, D called me the other day and told me he had a surprise for me. Oh, I waited all day wondering what on earth it could be! Turns out, it was all the things that any gardener would ever need: their very own hoe with their very own name on it, a hat to keep the sun off of their face, some sunflower seeds, some pink gardening gloves, and a pink Tractor Supply ball cap to match my husband’s red Tractor Supply ball cap that he wears every day and that I hate really don’t care for and always beg him to get a new one:) Just look, he’s wearing it in every single picture….
Here’s me wearing my gardening hat and gloves. Oh yeah, and using my hoe. Because I’m Catfish. And that’s just what a Catfish Mama does. And have you ever used a hoe in the garden? Dang if my arms didn’t get tired within like three minutes! So, naturally I said, “Dddddddd this hurts my arms, will you come do it please?” Maybe next year I’ll start with some arm exercises before gardening season arrives. Whew, if that pregnancy weight doesn’t catch up with you one way or another!! I think it just tickles Mister Smith’s fancy when he sees me enjoying his gifts like this…
And last but not least, here is my favorite little fourteen pound boy helping us string tomatoes! He was having so much fun that night in the garden!
And here is Thomas modeling his etsy hat. I really bought it for him to wear at the pool/beach this summer, but I’ve also been putting it on him when he goes to ride the four-wheeler with his Daddy (which is one of Thomas's favorite activities!!) to keep the sun off his fair little head in the afternoons.
You can view this album for all of the pics of Thomas in the garden:)
Ok, I think is the longest post I’ve ever done. I’m exhausted and tired of uploading pictures. I must go to bed now before a certain little three month old wakes up demanding his Milk Maid. Goodnight:)
